Terms of Use
Last updated: July 24, 2026
Welcome to Event Synoptic ("we", "us"). By accessing https://eventsynoptic.com, our Telegram bot, our public API or our MCP server (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What the Service does
Event Synoptic aggregates publicly available information about events in the Los Angeles area from official ticketing platforms, venues and cultural institutions. We de-duplicate those listings, add categories and ratings, and compare ticket prices across marketplaces. We are an information service: we do not sell tickets and we are not the organiser, promoter or seller of any event listed.
2. Accounts
You may use most of the Service without an account. Signing in with Telegram or Google creates a profile that stores the events you save and your preferences. You are responsible for activity under your account. One person should use one account; you may delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy).
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them. Family and kids' events are listed for parents and guardians planning outings.
3. Acceptable use — automated access and scraping
We publish structured data so that people and AI assistants can find events. That permission has limits.
You may: browse the Service normally; use our documented public API and MCP server within their rate limits; quote or cite individual listings with attribution and a link back to https://eventsynoptic.com.
You may not, without our prior written permission:
- use crawlers, scrapers, headless browsers or any automated means to systematically download, copy or index substantial portions of the Service, or to build a competing dataset or product;
- circumvent rate limits, access controls, robots.txt directives or any technical protection measure, including by rotating IP addresses, proxies or user agents;
- strip, alter or bypass our tracking and affiliate links, attribution notices or referral parameters;
- resell, redistribute or sublicense our compiled data, ratings or price comparisons;
- place an unreasonable load on our infrastructure, or interfere with its normal operation;
- use the Service to violate any law, infringe third-party rights, or collect personal data about our users.
Well-behaved search and AI crawlers that respect our robots.txt are explicitly welcome. We monitor traffic patterns and may rate-limit, block or report access that breaches this section. If you want bulk or commercial access to our data, contact us — we would rather license it to you than fight you.
4. Our content and third-party content
Event details (titles, dates, venues, images, descriptions) originate from the organisers, venues and ticketing platforms that publish them, and remain the property of their respective owners. We display them for informational purposes and link to the official source.
Our own contribution — the compilation, de-duplication, categorisation, ratings, price comparisons, page layout, software and branding — is protected by copyright and other rights and may not be copied except as permitted above.
If you own rights in material shown on the Service and believe it is used improperly, email [email protected] with the details and we will review it promptly.
5. Affiliate links and commissions
Some outbound links to ticket sellers, venues and booking partners are tracking or affiliate links. If you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This never affects the price you pay, and we do not rank events by commission alone. This disclosure is made in line with U.S. Federal Trade Commission guidance.
6. Accuracy, prices and cancellations
Event data changes constantly. Dates, line-ups, age limits and availability are set by organisers, and prices — especially resale prices — fluctuate. We refresh data frequently but cannot guarantee that any listing is complete, current or accurate. Always confirm details on the official ticket page before travelling or paying.
We are not responsible for cancelled, rescheduled or misrepresented events, for the conduct of organisers or venues, or for any transaction you make with a third-party seller.
7. Organiser submissions
If you submit an event through the bot, you confirm you are entitled to publish that information, that it is accurate, and you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display and distribute it through the Service. We may edit, reject or remove submissions at our discretion.
8. Service availability and changes
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time. We may suspend or terminate access that breaches these Terms.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Event Synoptic will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The "last updated" date above will change, and material changes will be announced on the site. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
