This dialogue marked the beginning of an intellectual experiment at USC: the cultivation of a community dedicated to polymathic inquiry and the integration of diverse forms of knowledge. For our opening Fall 2026 Polymathic Pizza we pay homage to our inaugural event from 15 years ago. But this time around, we bring together three scholars – in astrophysics, religion & philosophy, and landscape architecture & urban design – who will focus the conversation on our present and future concerns, and imaginings about the universe, our planet, and our place in space ~ outer space, inner space, and shared space; figuring us in and out.
