Drop In Ikebana Workshop

Join this free drop-in workshop to explore ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging. Included with admission or membership, no registration required. Rooted in simplicity, elegance, and a deep respect for nature, ikebana encourages creativity using materials that can be found almost anywhere. Learn the basics of this beautiful art form and create your own arrangement. Ages 5 and up. Meets on the Main Lawn. About Kaz Kitajima Kaz Yokou Kitajima is Ikkyu Shihan Riji of the Sogetsu School of Ikebana. His dynamic arrangements use elements of bamboo, pine and wood materials as well as the most delicate flowers. He is proprietor of the NK Nursery, and teaches at the San Gabriel Japanese Community Center and the Pasadena Japanese Cultural Institute.
