USC Roski MA Curatorial Practices: the very substance of ourselves

Opening reception: Thursday, September 17, 6–9pm Opening reception performance by Jay Carlon: 7pm USC Roski’s MA Cohort in Curatorial Practices and the Public Sphere presents the very substance of ourselves, an exhibition exploring the body from its interior, physical experience to the ways it exists within domestic, natural and constructed worlds. Beginning with the visceral reality of the body, the exhibition moves through experiences of disability, medical intervention and grief before considering the body within domestic spaces and, finally, its relationship to familial memory, place and transformation.
