Join us for the next class on Sunday, September 20 Ikebana is a Japanese flower arranging art form that prioritizes simplicity, elegance, and a respect for nature. Instructor Kaz Yokou Kitajima highlights the freedom of individual expression, believing ikebana can be made anytime, anywhere, by anyone, with any materials. Using materials provided by Descanso Gardens you will take home a beautiful, custom work of art. $50 members, $65 non-members. Meets at the Boddy House. About Kaz Kitajima Kaz Yokou Kitajima is Ikkyu Shihan Riji of the Sogetsu School of Ikebana. His dynamic arrangements use elements of bamboo, pine and wood materials as well as the most delicate flowers. He is proprietor of the NK Nursery, and teaches at the San Gabriel Japanese Community Center and the Pasadena Japanese Cultural Institute.
