Jay Lee Campbell Residency Three Show Package

We didn't know anything about Jay Lee Campbell before he came into the shop a few weeks ago to play a semi-private event. Then he sat down in his flip-flops for soundcheck, picked up his guitar, and sang the Jackson C. Frank tune "The Blues Run The Game.” And right away we were transported someplace timeless. Campbell is flying well under the radar. For the past few years, he's surfaced at open mics in and around his hometown of Torrance, just east of Redondo Beach in Los Angeles’ South Bay. There are no official recordings to speak of and barely a social media footprint. We get the feeling he came from another era. We’re honored to host Campbell for a residency this month. We hope to document these performances - whether that becomes a collection of demos or even a full live debut album. His voice carries warmth and gravity. His guitar playing has a jangly, gossamer touch. Where excited to see where these songs take him.
