**Light Asylum** **Buck Gooter** **Baby Aspirin DVD** **LIGHT ASYLUM** is the internationally revered electronic music project of vocalist and producer Shannon Funchess, founded in Brooklyn, New York, in 2007. Captivating audiences with cathartic performances, LIGHT ASYLUM emerged in 2009 at the forefront of a movement that became a full-blown revival of late '70s to '90s underground music inspired by pioneers of Detroit techno, Belgian new beat, EBM, gothic rock, Chicago house, new wave, and post-punk. Autumn of 2011 heralded a new gothic club anthem, "Dark Allies," with Funchess emoting eternal life with her signature contralto singing on the debut In Tension EP, released on Mexican Summer/Kemado Records.
