Stereo Punks & Orlove By Day present: Phantoms Los Angeles-based duo Kyle Kaplan and Vinnie Pergola have spent over a decade carving out a lane entirely their own — blurring the lines of house music and indie-dance while retaining a pop sensibility they describe as alternative electronic. Friends since 15, the two pivoted from careers as teen actors to building one of electronic music's most distinctive live acts, fusing club-ready energy with genuine songwriting craft. Their debut album featured the chart-topping "Just A Feeling" (ft. Vérité), which held the #1 spot on US Dance Radio for four straight weeks and topped the SiriusXM BPM Top 20 countdown for over eight weeks. Since then, they've racked up collaborations with the likes of Big Wild and Jem Cooke, released their 2022 sophomore full-length This Can't Be Everything, and earned praise from NPR, Billboard, and Dancing Astronaut along the way. Live, both Kaplan and Pergola work synths and drum pads simultaneously, taking turns on lead and keeping the show as active and connected as possible.
