**Dov & Duvid** **MAALA** is a high-energy musical duo: acclaimed performers Duvid Swirsky and Nachum Peterseil blend soulful Jewish spirit with world-class musicianship to create unforgettable live experiences. Maala brings together the powerful songwriting/guitar work of Duvid Swirsky—founding member of the pioneering Jewish rock band Moshav and Distant Cousins—with the dynamic voice and infectious stage presence of Nachum Peterseil, founding member of Hip-Hop Trio PLVNK and LA–based performer and Cantorial Soloist known for his creative musical style. Together, they created Maala, meaning “upward” or “elevate”—with a simple mission: to lift people higher through music. Their performances are vibrant, interactive, and deeply moving—inviting audiences to sing, dance, and connect. With Maala, the music doesn’t just play—it lifts the room. **Mostly Kosher,** Los Angeles-based Klezmer/Rock band, radically reconstructs Judaic and American cultural music through ravenous klezmer beats and arresting Yiddish refrains. The acclaimed ensemble is a musical feast that explodes into a global food-fight of Jazz, Latin, Rock, and Folk. MK recently played a double-bill with Grammy-winning artists The Klezmatics at the Carpenter Center, Long Beach. 2025/2026 Highlights: Soka Performing Arts Center, Klezmer and Yiddish Swing at the historic Cicada Club in Downtown LA and the MK debut at the Irvine Barclay Theatre.
